Beginner's Yoga welcomes first-time yoga students to come and explore the basic practices and principles of yoga. We'll get you ready to try any Yoga Salinas class with confidence and ease.
Yoga means "alignment." Alignment of the body and the mind as well as the mind and spirit. In Chakra Yoga, we will explore each of the seven chakras (root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown) and work on our total body, mind, and spirit alignment on and off the mat.
The intent of this all levels class is to nourish your mind, body, and spirit. The first part of class will include grounding, pranayama (breath work) and a flowing yoga sequence to help you let go of any tightness, tension, or stagnant energy. This will prepare both your body and mind to relax & restore in the second part of class with yin/restorative postures.
This yoga class is for newer students, continuing beginners, and anyone who wants to review the basic components of asanas (postures) including the vinyasa flow sequence that is incorporated in more vigorous classes.
Gentle yoga is a supportive practice that offers cue choices at a moderate pace. This class uses classical Hatha postures with slight variations to accommodate all levels.
This class is for yogis with a good foundation in proper alignment and an understanding of linking breath to movement. The class may challenge you with more advanced asanas and steady holds as well as faster transitions and dynamic movement.
This accessible practice uses movement and relaxation to restore focus and ease. We will link body and breath to direct focus and foster acceptance and growth. This class is modified to meet you where you are and is appropriate for all backgrounds. All are welcome.
A mind, body, and spirit practice, Qigong is an ancient Chinese system of coordinated physical postures, movement, breathing techniques, and meditation that is designed to promote health, spirituality, and physical fitness.
Restorative class offers long, supported poses that encourage the body to heal itself and the busy mind to declutter.
Gentle breath in. Slow sigh out. Body melts into floor. Mind finds calm. Life improves.
